Special Committee on Oceanic Research (SCOR)

The International Council for Science (ICSU) formed the Special Committee on Oceanic Research (SCOR) in 1957 to help address interdisciplinary science questions related to the ocean. SCOR was the first interdisciplinary body formed by ICSU. SCOR's name was later changed to "Scientific Committee on Oceanic Research" to reflect its more permanent status.

International CLIVAR Project Office (ICPO)

The ICPO consists of two offices, hosted by China and India, and contract staff, supported by the USA. Overall management and coordination of the ICPO is the responsibility of the ICPO Executive Director who also acts as the primary interface with the CLIVAR SSG co-chairs and the Director, WCRP.
